Detect Wood Destroying Pests
A Wood Destroying Insect Inspection (WDI Inspection)) is recommended when purchasing or selling a home, and is often required by some lenders. (Ask your loan officer if one is needed.) The purpose of a Wood Destroying Pest Inspection is to discover and report if there are wood destroying pests or organisms, such as termites, carpenter ants and bees, powder post beetles, etc.
Whether your lender requires one or not, we highly recommend that you order a pest inspection, because there can be thousands of dollars of treatment or repairs that you may be unaware of without performing this inspection.
Inspect and Detect, LLC does not perform your pest inspection. We simply facilitate the ordering of your pest inspection from a licensed pest control and inspection service. In most cases, we will arrange for the pest inspection to be completed at the same time as your home inspection.
